Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has recently invited applications for admission to Class IX of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of the District, against the vacant seats, which are available during the academic year 2019-20. The admission is through an All India Test to be conducted on 02nd February 2019 at 10.00 hrs. in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the district concerned. The medium of the test is English/Hindi.

About JNV School: At present, there are 630 functional Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas spread over 28 States and 07 UTs. Though admission to Navodaya Vidyalayas is at Class VI level, in order to optimally utilize infrastructure facilities available, vacant seats at Class IX level are filled through an All India level Selection Test. While education in the schools is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks, a nominal fee of Rs.200/- per month will have to be collected from the children from Class IX to XII. However, children belonging to SC/ST, Girls and from the families whose income is below the poverty line are exempted from payment of fees.

About JNV Class 9th Entrance Exam:

Thousands of students who want to take admission in the Jawahar Navodaya School in Class 9th has appeared in the entrance exam on 02nd February 2019. The JNV IX Class exam was conducted from 10:00 to 12:30 PM (02:30 hours). The Selection Test consisted of 100 Marks questions from subjects like Mathematics, General Science, English, and Hindi. The difficulty level of the test paper shall be of Class VIII.

JNVST 9th Class Admission Test Result 2019-20:

The Result of the Selection Test may be ascertained from the application portal of NVS through which application is submitted. The result will be notified in the Vidyalaya Notice Board as well as published in the website of JNVs concerned. Selected candidates will also be intimated by Speed post and SMS. JNVST 2019 Class 9th Admission Result

The result of Class 9th JNVST 2019 will also be displayed in the offices of the concerned- 

(i) Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya 

(ii) District Education Officer 

(iii) District Magistrate 

(iv)Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region.

The Selection in the selection test will not vest any right upon the candidate to secure admission into JNV till the candidate produces all the relevant certificates such as birth certificate, pass certificate of VIII class with mark sheets, SC/ST certificate, if any, as prescribed by NVS for the admission. Details of the marks obtained in the test will not be communicated and there is no provision for re-checking/re-totaling.
